Three laws of the scene

Working the scene on screen

Pick a person (tap their card or chip, or press their letter), pick a tool, then tap squares. Your marks are pencil work: they never change the case.

Place puts the person on a square for certain. Tap again to lift them off; place them elsewhere to move them. Tap someone else’s token to pick them.
Maybe pencils the person’s letter in as a possibility. Several letters can share a square.
Not them strikes out just this person’s letter; the square stays open for others.
Empty crosses a square out for everyone.
Someone marks a square as taken while you don’t know by whom yet.
Note writes your own deduction on a square. Erase clears a square.
Tick a statement once you’ve used it. It still counts; ticking only helps you keep track.
Check the scene tests your placements once everyone is on the map and flags statements that don’t hold.

Settings

Close rows and columns Automatically mark the rest of a placed person’s row and column. Your own crosses stay as they are. Flag clashes Highlight people who share a row or column as you place them. Show the clock Time on each case is logged either way.
